Garrett’s journey to founding Shepherd Claims Solutions began with a life-altering experience that shaped his passion for advocacy. After graduating from the University of North Texas, Garrett embarked on a career in corporate finance. However, a wakeboarding accident led to a costly ambulance ride and thousands of dollars in uncovered medical bills. Despite having health insurance, he found himself navigating a frustrating maze of phone calls, long wait times, and unproductive conversations with his insurance carrier.

Just as he was about to give up, Garrett discovered a nonprofit organization specializing in denied health insurance claims. They stepped in, took control of his case, and skillfully negotiated the outstanding bills. This experience opened Garrett’s eyes to the power of skilled advocacy in helping others overcome complex insurance challenges.

Though he continued his corporate career, the idea of becoming a resource for those navigating insurance complexities lingered in his mind. In 2022, a tornado struck his hometown of Dallas, introducing Garrett to the world of public adjusting. He quickly realized his calling. Starting with contents assessments, he honed his expertise in restoration estimating and policy interpretation, gaining invaluable experience under industry experts.

In 2024, after working under other industry experts and earning what some describe as a 100K education, Garrett founded Shepherd Claims Solutions. With a mission to advocate for property owners and provide clarity in the claims process, Shepherd Claims Solutions represents Garrett’s commitment to helping clients rebuild and recover when they need it most.

Today, Garrett combines his corporate finance background with his passion for advocacy to ensure clients receive the settlements they deserve. Based in Dallas-Fort Worth and serving all of Texas, Shepherd Claims Solutions specializes in both residential and commercial claims, offering expertise in public adjusting, restoration estimating, and appraisal services.
